Riverside Community Center
The Riverside Community Center project converted a 15,000 sq ft abandoned warehouse into a multi-purpose facility serving over 500 families weekly. The center houses our youth programs, health clinic, job training workshops, and serves as a gathering space for community events.
Current needs
The Riverside neighborhood lacked accessible community resources and gathering spaces. The abandoned warehouse was an eyesore and safety concern, while residents had to travel long distances for basic services like health screenings, after-school programs, and community meetings.
The Impact
Since opening in 2023, the Riverside Community Center has become the heart of the neighborhood:
500+ families access services weekly
85% increase in youth program participation
Monthly health clinics serving 150+ residents
20 local jobs created
Crime rates in the area decreased by 35%
The project has become a model for similar community-driven infrastructure projects across the region.
